In between trips we had some time off, so we treated ourselves and took a cruise to the Caribbean for our 4 year anniversary.
*Quick disclaimer: this post has a lot of pictures.
As we tend to do, we decided on a cruise and left for it within a week. After looking into it, Royal Caribbean had a great deal for us with a 7 day cruise on the beautiful Allure of the Seas.
The Allure is the largest cruise ship in the world. The darn thing had more than 6500 hundred people on it.
One of the big reasons we wanted to do a cruise was the allure (heh) of that package deal. Food, room, entertainment, and transportation just figured out. That sounded really nice. And boy was it.

Big boat

Dat's a really big boat
Now, with so many people we weren't sure if it'd be crowded. But we never really felt it. That's how much space there was.
And it has rock-walls.

Nassau
During our 7 days in the Caribbean, we were making three stops; Nassau, St Thomas, and St Kitts.
We weren't really docked in Nassau for long, so we kinda just lounged on the deck and did some reading. Well, studying. See one of the excursions was to get Padi dive certified. That's something we've wanted to try for a long while and it seemed like a great time to tackle it. Now, honestly, the first few days, in between relaxing, shows and eating, we were studying or taking classes for our checkout dive.
This was the aqua theater at the back of the ship. It was the only pool deep enough to do our pool dive. Was cool to be able to dive where the shows were.
Since we were focused on learning how to dive, I didn't get any photos of our checkout dive in St Thomas. I leave that for next time. Because there will be a next time since we loved diving! The water was incredibly clear, and warm. We went about 40 feet down, saw a lot of cool coral and even a sunken ship. Our instructors were great and kept us safe. We are eager to dive again in the future.
A shot from our boat coming back in from our dive. I love this picture because you can see the other dive boat, a Destroyer (so tiny!) docked next to the Allure.
In St Kitts, our excursion was a catamaran ride with snorkeling. We really couldn't of asked for a better day for this one.
Someone thinks he's cool
The snorkeling was good, the water wasn't quite as clear or warm as it was in St Thomas, but still great. Saw a lot of fun fish, had lunch on the catamaran, was a great day.
St Kitts port
We had a great time on the Allure, loved every bit of it. Highly recommend, would sail again. The rest of the post is mostly a mish mash of pictures from the week.
