Greece 2014 Day 1

On Saturday December 6th Katie and I made our first trip to Greece. We flew on a later flight because, quite frankly, it was going to be about a thousand dollars cheaper. It meant that we didn't get much time our first day in Greece, but our sixth day was also a late flight, so this time would be made up on the back end.

So Greece happened and it was great!

As many of you may know, Katie and I were just in Greece for 6 wonderful days.
For publishing all the pictures we grabbed while over there, I want to post them according to the day they were taken and what happened on that day. Then after I've posted each day there will be a separate post just for a bunch of pictures. (a lot that probably weren't in the main posts)
The plan is for Monday to be day 1, Tuesday to be day 2 and so on. That should make for a week of posts and stories.
But, to give you a small taste of what is to come....

Turkey Turkey and more Turkey

This post should have gone up a while back, sorry for the delay.



After about fifteen hours of travel we made it to our destination of Turkey.

Turkish Airlines liked putting their symbol everywhere. Seat belts, napkins, cups, toilet paper...

Toledo, Turkey, and Tricoci Spa

Thursday, we drove through the snow from Toledo to Chicago. 

It stopped snowing just long enough to snap this picture

Night-shift and Movies

One of the challenges to all the travel is getting on the proper schedule once you get to your location. For Toledo, Katie is once again working night-shift, a 5pm to 5am shift to be precise. She had to start those hours Friday, so that meant staying up all of Thursday night. The perfect time to do a movie double feature.

Short and sweet for this one. We drove from Chicago to Toledo Ohio today.
