Turkey Turkey and more Turkey

This post should have gone up a while back, sorry for the delay.

After about fifteen hours of travel we made it to our destination of Turkey.
Turkish Airlines liked putting their symbol everywhere. Seat belts, napkins, cups, toilet paper...

Few things right off the bat. Turkey is seven hours ahead of eastern standard time. So if it is midnight in Terre Haute it is 7am where we are. So that combined with being on night shift just a few days prior, you can imagine the jet-lag has been horrendous. We are starting to adjust but things are going to change again soon with shift work starting. Katie will be working two weeks on and then one week off, alternating between day and night shift each cycle.

Arriving in Istanbul around 4pm, it wasn't hard to find our driver and get on the road making our way to Izmit. This drive on paper is around one hour, however we ended up hitting some wicked traffic. It took closer to three and a half hours, not arriving to the Tupras compound until nearly 8pm.

Fun Fact: Istanbul is considered part Europe and part Asia. This bridge is the dividing point of continents.

Here is the vlog of our travel. It was a lot of fun, really tiring but fun. Met some interesting people and made some great memories.

Again, sorry this took so long to get out, going to have another post up before the weekend. This time for sure.

As for next week, we have some really exciting stuff going on, will bring lots of pictures of video.
Here's the tease.
